The Blade of Grass 1/8/01 Like the curve of a blade of grass, it is stationary in a sour sea of black. It may bend to allow some to pass, but like the tongue of the wind, it bounces back, overtakes all in its vengeful path. It has a way of turning some dour. But I alone shall pluck that blade of power. Forever, I shall clutch it like its four-bladed cousin. This feisty force which has held back many will fail to conquer all. Things have been slow in New Jersey.  The other day, Route 80 was host to a multi-tractor trailer accident that backed traffic up for a few hundred miles.  So, four lanes of normally bumper-to-bumper rush-hour traffic converged on my little town, slowing us down to a crawl for 5 days.  Apparently, one of the tractor-trailers was carting gasoline (aka rolling clouds of flame and smoke).  The second was full of corn meal.  I don't think the newspaper said what was in the third truck, but my suspicions are that it was hauling something like hot pants or inflatable sofas.  It just seems like it would have to be something as random as that.  The r
